Sexual Healing

I am hoping to start a dialog on sexual problems here Please leave your comments.

I have seen a lot of evidence in my 50 years that people seem have a lot of sexual problems. Male impotency, female frigidness, childhood abuse, sexual violence, sexual predator registration and then we have the internet with adults attempting to accost children....What is this about? More important what are we going to do about it?

Our sexuality is the core of who were are. It is the spark of life in us all the true gift from God Almighty. Many of us are told and shown that our sexual organs are filthy dirty from the time we are born.

For many males abuse starts from birth with circumcision for male children. So, right off the bat millions of male children are cut in the area that alternative healers call the first or "root" chakra. This procedure hurts and maybe men don't carry the conscious memory but they do have memory of this event and it shapes how they feel about their sexuality from the moment this is done to them.

Fortunately, newborn girls do not have a similar procedure in the western world. However, there are societies where female circumcision is performed on young girls. The clitoris is removed so that these females will not be able to feel pleasure in the sexual act. The theory is that if women are not permitted to enjoy sex that they will be better wives and mothers.

I keep reading in the news about men entering chat rooms on the internet where children go to meet friends and chat with one another and try to find a child that is willing to meet them and have sex. What is inside these men that com pulses them to do this? It may seem that the answer is to shame these people but, if shaming them was helping then surely we would see a reduction in these crimes against children. I don't know if I agree with the way convicted sexual predators are forced to register so that they can live with a community's harassment. Don't get me wrong I believe our children need to be protected from these people but, I just think there is a fatal flaw in the method used to inform the community. I believe it puts so much stress on the newly released from prison predator that it almost pushes them in the direction of re offending. It's a set up, catch 22. Oh what are we going to do as individuals and societies to heal our root chakra....act local think global folks....

Gas Prices Are Hurting the Little Guy

BlogItemURL

I found this article in the NY Times. We do need to start getting it together to find ways to not be so dependent on fossil fuels. Workers like the person mentioned in the NY Times article are what hold our country together. They are doing an honest days work and trying to make their ends meet. When people like this all over the country are struggling to survive it will affect us on many levels. The quality of services will fall because these little people are so stressed about how are they going to make it. Wages are not going up to match the rising cost of living. The little guy is running out of options.

The wealthy can sit and count their stock earnings and complain to hotel and other service industry management about their poor service. while the person they are complaining about is working a 2nd job and is tired from worry and being over worked and under paid...

Children Learn What They Live

I once heard a comedian on TV say that every time he need to be spanked his parents took him to "K-Mart". It was funny at the time I laughed at this myself. But, I could remember hearing the wails of children being hit by their parents in stores. I am pretty sure that I got hit a few times myself while out shopping with my mother when I was a child.

At any rate this comedian's statement about being whipped in K-Mart really struck a chord with me and I began paying attention to how parents treat their children in public. I became am very alarmed about the way I see people treating their children in public. Every time I hear a child crying in public I look to find where the screams are coming from... I have seen some pretty violent stuff going on... This is a short list of some of the appalling actions I have seen:

  • A man was kicking a child to the ground that was approximately 3 years old.

  • A woman slapping a child several times in the face that appeared to be under 18 months old hard enough to leave a hand print with each slap.

  • Countless times I have seen people grabbing their children by their arms and lifting them off the ground and hitting the child so hard that their arms twist out of the socket.

These are incidences where I called the law:
  • I once saw a man pick up a child by his neck and begin punching him with a closed fist.

  • Another time while coming exiting a convenience store I saw a man punching a child in the face that was approx. 2 years old who was strapped in a car seat. I asked the man to stop while his terrified wife sat shaking in fear he pulled a gun on me and told me to mind my own business. I took his tag number and immediately called the police on my cell phone.

I am really upset that this kind of stuff still goes on. All of these children that I have seen needed help and so did their parents. This is our business we can't stand idly by and not even be aware that these things are happening right in front of us. This is how this family violence keeps going. This is not about discipline it is about violence. I have raised several children mine and other peoples and I know that when a child is corrected with love and patience they respond very well. I am not opposed to a parent giving a child a pop on the rump to get their attention. But, please don?t hit your baby in the face or anyone else for that mater cause this kind of action is what gives a person very low self-esteem. Children learn what they live and a smack in the face teaches a child that they are nothing to be valued. I know you don?t want to give your child this kind of message? Thanks for reading this..

Toilet Training

Are you often constipated? Do you get bladder or kidney infections? Has anyone ever said you were anal? Maybe you were not properly toilet trained. Maybe you have the same attitudes towards your bodily functions that the person who potty trained you had about them. Everyone goes to the toilet but not everyone feels good about going.

If you have children most likely you are going to have to teach them how to use the bathroom. Some parents may find this to be a venture that is not very pleasant. It does not have to be.

Toilet training can and should begin from the day you bring your little one home from the hospital. You are going to do that by always being kind to your child about their bodily functions and making it fun and desirable to get a diaper change.

Disposable diapers are very convenient but, they absorb so much wetness that the child never feels wet.

A child in cloth diapers on the other hand feels wet when they pee and the unpleasantness of being wet will help you when it comes time to start the actual toilet training. It's very important to not let them sit in soiled diapers for long periods of time because your child will become accustomed to being wet and never let them sit in diapers with bowel movement because it does irritate the skin and it gives a very powerful message to your child about their worth. Cloth diapers are much friendlier to the environment and in the long run they are cheaper cause you don't have to keep buying new ones you just wash them and reuse them over and over again.

If you do not like to change diapers your child will pick up on your feelings about the task. They will also pick up on your feelings if you are happy that they have normal body function. Do not terrorize or shame your child about their body functions. Everyone pees and poops but not everyone feels good about it. I wonder how many people's constipation is rooted in their parents being disgusted by their bowel movement and not liking to toilet train them?

Worlds Most Expensive Shoes

The one-of-a-kind 4?-inch stiletto sandals are studded with 565 platinum-set Kwiat diamonds (which include 55 carats of clear diamonds and one big 5-carat stone).

The 'Cinderella slippers,' as Stuart Weitzman, the designer of the fantasy sandals, calls them, were worn by singer Alison Krauss (nominated for best song for the film Cold Mountain) at the 2004 Oscars ceremony.

Way to go Alison!! I think those shoes match that beautiful voice of yours!!

I love shoes but, I find it very difficult to find shoes that don't hurt my feet or make me twist my ankle. Since I am such a practical type I just can't wear shoes that hurt my feet I will ocassionally wear shoes that I might twist my ankle in just cause I like the way they make me feel tall and I like the way they look. But if they hurt my feet I will not wear them long before I take them off. I take them off without even noticing. Many times people have come up to me in public and commented that I did not have on shoes. Do other women wear shoes even though they hurt their feet?the pair of $14,000 Manolo Blahnik alligator boots

I wish I could wear boots but, I think I must have too high of an in-step or arch because I can't even bend my foot enough to get them on unless the are way too big and then I hurt myself trying to walk in them because my foot slides around too much in them.
